The Commons has been a hotspot for both locals and tourists for the past 5 years in Thonglor, and it is now spreading the good vibes to Saladaeng Soi 1. With its best known for photogenic architecture, yummy eateries, and cool activities, folks in Sathon should get ready for its soft opening in mid-January 2020.
Stunning design by award-winning architects
DEPT (Department of Architecture Co.), the same team which brought to us The Commons Thonglor, are also behind the new outlet’s design.

It’s inspired by the name of the area itself – Saladaeng – which means “red pavillion” in Thai. The building will come with a pointed red roof and high glass floor-to-ceiling windows, which make it look like a giant glasshouse.

There will also be a massive banyan tree in the centre, adding some greenery and shade to the space.
Over 20 bars, eateries, and event spaces
The Commons Saladaeng will have 3 floors and be divided into 2 main spaces. The Ground floor there will be tonnes of restaurants for all budgets, from higher-end fancy stores to cosier eateries.
Fans of the Thonglor outlet can expect some of the same stores here too, like Roots, Roast, Seven Suns, and The Lobster Lab.
Then we have The Platform, which acts as an open space for events and workshops. You can even expect fun things like live music performances for everyone to enjoy – it’s also pet friendly!
