The Thai government has allowed private organisations to import Covid-19 vaccines, as announced by Government spokesperson, Mr. Anucha Burapachaisri. Of course, businesses can only procure them upon approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Covid-19 vaccine updates in Thailand
Now another lot of 800,000 of Sinovac Covid-19 doses will be delivered to Thailand on 20th March 2021 – this news hints at a light to the end of the pandemic tunnel, as Director-General of the Department of Disease Control stated in Work Point News 23.
For final approval, Sinovac just needs to process the production lines and prove that its doses meet all safety standards to the Department of Medical Sciences to re-confirm that the vaccine is safe enough to be administered in Thailand.
Distributed doses around Thailand
Managing Director of the Department of Disease Control, Dr. Opas Karngawinphong reveals that over the past two weeks, 10 of Thailand’s 13 provinces have already received doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Hopefully, the pandemic ends soon
In the midst of the pandemic, there are more positive signs like increased herd immunity from the distributed Covid-19 vaccines. If all goes well, this year might end with actual hopes that we get to redo 2020 and 2021.
