After many nice beaches and tourist attractions were temporarily closed due to COVID-19, and now they’re finally back. This includes hotspots like Phuket and other all-time favourite islands like Koh Phi Phi and Koh Phangan.

The number of tourists is still limited

Thailand will allow more visitors to enter the country in August, which is earlier than the initially planned months of September or October.

Also, to support locations that heavily rely on tourism, the Tourism and Sports Ministry implemented a reopening for 5 destinations including Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

However, the Tourism and Sports Ministry will still keep an eye on the virus and have joined hands with the Public Health Ministry to limit the number of tourists coming in, depending on areas. So, stay tuned for the updates.

Now that some domestic flights will be resuming this July, it’s a good time for those in Thailand who need a break to enjoy a nice beach holiday.
