Thai government decides against nationwide lockdown


Yesterday, Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha decided against a nationwide lockdown, opting instead to let local governments decide for themselves based on active Covid-19 cases.

Covid-19 situation under control


The Pattaya Mail reported that the Prime Minister assured Thais that the situation is under control. However, public cooperation is key.

Additionally, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) will propose alternative celebrations for the New Year, in lieu of festivities being cancelled.
