Flights Grounded & Routes Redirected In Thailand As Covid-19 Spread Worsens

Travel routes scaled down due to Covid-19

Thai Airways is limiting international flights from now until the 27th March 2021. Not only that, it’s a pity that Bangkok Airways and Lomphrayah Catamaran are suspending their usual operations.

However, the airline’s sister carrier, Thai Smile will still be operating normally. Flights can be booked directly through travel agents, with THAI or via Thai Smile.

Thai Airways has been complying with sanitation measures to curb the spread of the virus. This includes limiting in-flight entertainment on certain flights. Additionally, in a state of constant flight changes, repatriation flight schedules could be affected and need to be double-checked.

Lomprayah Catamaran also suspends their routes

For beach bums, it’s a true bummer that Thailand’s high-speed catamaran services, Lomprayah, has also announced suspended routes.

Their safety measures are re-adjusted to scale down the spread of Covid-19. In the following images below are notices of Lomprayah Catamaran’s route changes:

It’s a complete letdown for beach day trippers from Bangkok to have more sunny days from Hua Hin and hit more beaches down in Koh Tao.

The catamaran company also suspended its usual Koh Samui service from Bangrak Pier until further notice.

Chill by a screened beach on the TV with a glass of wine

It’s truly a shame that many have planned to do things and travel. You can’t even get an Australian working holiday visa either, because of the pandemic.

Let’s just hope and do Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō’s at home to curb the virus.
