Prayut Chan-o-cha, Thailand’s Prime Minister, has agreed to the extension of the national emergency decree for 1 more month, ending 30 June 2020.

This is the 3rd extension of the enactment of the 2005 Royal Decree of Emergency Situations, since it was first implemented on 24th March to curb the COVID-19 infections.

The easing process goes on

Despite the ongoing enforcement, the government will still continue to ease restrictions so people can slowly go back to their normal lives.

The postponed school year and the reopening of Thailand’s airspace, both set on 1st July, won’t be affected by the decree.
