For obvious reasons, the thought of being at our own funeral sounds impossible. But this man managed from Southern Thailand was able to make it happen.
After all of his relatives believed he had passed away in an accident, he showed up and shocked them in the middle of the day, even proclaiming “I’m still alive!”
There was an accident the day before
An accident was reported on 30th January 2020, where a middle-aged man got into a fatal train accident near Chawang Train Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. Because of the massive collision, his body was unable to be identified.

After looking at the bits of evidence, one of the villagers in the neighbourhood believed that the body was that of his mentally disabled son, who always roamed around the train tracks. He decided to take the corpse from the officer, Mr. Siwakorn Chimpalee of Chawang Police Station, back home to hold a funeral for him.

The man wasn’t his son
Facebook page Thung Yai Si Thammarat shared surprising photos of the funeral on 31st January 2020. Turns out, the real man who was believed to be dead showed up at the funeral and began to announce: “I’m still alive, the corpse in the coffin isn’t me.”

After clearing up the misunderstanding, the man’s relatives reported the situation to the local police officers and sent back the corpse, hoping his real relatives showed up to give the poor victim proper funeral rites.
So folks, stay alert when on the road, around the train tracks or anywhere else even though you think it’s safe! And if you ever are in this scenario, stay calm and don’t freak your family out.
