Oldest graduate at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University
Thai netizens across the country recently shared the inspirational story of Granny Sathaporn Phrom Sri, who enrolled in a Liberal Arts at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University at 80. She then completed her course at 84, and finally graduated with her official certificate at age 88.

The story was posted by Facebook user Thanaphat Nawakaew, who shared that Granny Sathaporn finished her studies at 84 and received her official certificate at 88 in a commencement ceremony.

She has always been a joyful social worker, and enrolled herself in weekend classes for 4 years. And even though she felt unwell at times, she’s never missed a single class.

Speaking of her achievements, the granny mentioned that she was the oldest in her batch, but was full of joy and spunk nonetheless. She also added that finishing her studies was a huge accomplishment and a life reward for her.

“You’re never too old to study, even though your age is over the workforce age standards; knowledge and experiences are unlimited”, says granny Sathaporn.
