Young make-up guru in Thailand
The internet and social media is a chance for many to start their own businesses. One teen from Thailand also took this opportunity to launch his very own little business to help support his family – even if it takes pushing through cyberbullying.
Was criticised for his appearance
Puwadech “Pao” Innsoom is a 15-year-old boy from Thailand’s Chai Nat province who decided to launch livestreams selling cosmetics, snacks, and food via his own Facebook.
However, things took a turn after trolls started spreading hate on his videos, many of which insulted the boy just for not seeming like a “typical” make-up guru. Some went on to criticise his skin tone and looks, saying things like “You should go sell anchovies instead of cosmetics,” and “Go find something for your dark neck first.”
Nasty.
Pao opened up and shared his thoughts with Thairath, saying that he felt very disappointed and cried, even going so far as to move away from his livestreams. However, after feeling better, he decided to go back to his videos and ignore the haters this time.
He added that his classmates also bullied him at school and blamed him for being a “ladyboy” which can be used as a slur against those who might seem more effeminate. However, Pao doesn’t care for their words as he “knows himself the best, not others.”
Sells items to help support his family
He said that he reviews and sells the products to support his family, and buys what he likes only with his own money. He also revealed that he dreams of working as a surgeon to help others who want to look their best selves.
Mrs. Juthatiporn Innsoom, Pao’s mother, said that it was depressing to see others say bad things about her child. “I feel very worried, but my son is very strong and says that everything’s all right,
“I don’t care if he’s a “ladyboy” or not. Just being a good person and taking care of himself is enough.”
Netizens spread good vibes to Pao

After his story was shared, Pao gained many new customers and followers who have stuck by his side to support him. His business is growing too – some brands are even contacting him to do reviews!
His latest live stream got over 9.2K likes and many viewers complimented him for his hard work and cheered him on.
