Singaporeans Are Now Officially Allowed To Vacation In Thailand With The Special Tourist Visa

Good news for Singaporeans who want to spend their holidays in Chiang Mai and Phuket, or anywhere else in our beautiful Thailand – you’re now allowed to enter the kingdom after a months-long travel restriction.

On Monday, Tourism Authority of Thailand (Singapore Branch Office) posted on their Facebook page, notifying all Singaporeans they are now welcome back to the kingdom with the Special Tourist Visa (STV).

Minimum stay of 90 days is required


S’poreans who are planning their holidays right now should note that you’re required to stay in the kingdom for at least 90 days to be able to apply for this special visa.

Moreover, you’ll need to submit a bank statement that you have at least ฿500,000 (S$21,673) in your account for at least 6 consecutive months prior to the visa application. 

Additionally, proof of accommodation or residence ownership is required before you’ll be allowed to enter.
