Fans’ love for their favourite books and movies can often lead to them creating something amazing. This is also the case for Stuart Grant, a true Lord of the Rings’ fan who lives in Scotland, who constructed his own Hobbit house back in the 1980s.

Thanks to Mr Grant’s nephew and a Redditor who goes by the name KahlumG, the world got to see his beautiful and cosy house, inspired by one of the most epic novels to date.

Inspired by the book franchise, Mr Grant’s home is a humble concrete hut with a rounded door. And since it has been standing strong for almost 4 decades, the building is now completely covered in lush moss and plants, adding more magic to the house itself.

The back of Mr Grant’s hut is a huge garden with a spacious field and trees. There’s also a mini-sized pond with a rock bridge over it. The whole area looks exceptionally divine we wouldn’t be surprised if we spotted high elves running around.

Inside the house is where you’ll truly experience a Hobbit way of living with low ceilings and homey furnishings, using mostly wooden goods.
All the knick-knacks in the house like ceramic mugs, vases, and photo frames add extra cuteness to the place.

The second floor is where Mr Grant’s working room is. It is beautifully decorated with a lot of space and light, making it an ideal working environment.

If you plan to visit Scotland, KahlumG mentioned on his thread that his uncle is more than happy to talk to any visitors and share his secret on how to build this amazing home.
You can find Mr Grant in a peaceful village called Tomich, located at the western end of Strathglass. Once there, you can ask around for Stuart Grant since people there know him well.
Anything built out of love is truly amazing, and this real-life Hobbit house is solid evidence. Mr Grant has definitely made all the Halflings proud.
