Good news to Bangkokians and visitors, we don’t need to travel close to 2 hours out of town to go to a floating market anymore. Instead, we can now catch a BTS to Chid Lom station to chill at Pratunam Floating Night Market

The newly opened market is situated right across Pratunam Pier, making it highly accessible even for people who don’t live by the BTS or MRT lines.

Once here, you can expect to find many Thai comfort dishes such as pad thai with shrimp, som tum, basil stir-fried with rice, and many more. You can even get light munchies like crispy fried spring rolls with pork or spicy seafood salad.

After the meal, get cosy in an open bar with a bottle of Chang beer and enjoy the views and live music that’ll block the noise from all that traffic outside.

If the market’s name sounds very familiar to you, it’s because the market is located near Bangkok’s shopping hotspots like Central World, Siam Paragon, and Platinum Fashion Mall.

Now, serial-shoppers can rest their feet at this vibrant floating market while getting dinner and drinks after a long shopping session – super convenient.

On your next shopping spree in central Bangkok, you know where to loosen up when the day ends.
