Prevented shooting in Ayutthaya

A man was arrested by local police officers during a traffic search in Ayutthaya, which lies 1 hour away from Bangkok. He was found to be in possession of an unregistered pistol, which was loaded with 1 bullet.
Confessed that he planned to shoot wife
The motorcyclist in question is 45-year-old Somkhid Ruennangyaem, who was caught after he was pulled over for a search on Tuesday, 3rd March 2020. Besides the loaded gun, police also found 7 more bullets underneath the motorcycle’s seat, as reported by Bangkok Post today.
Ruennangyaem allegedly confessed that he was on his way to a nearby shopping mall where his wife worked. He had planned to shoot his wife along with her lover, whom he had found also worked at the mall.

He is currently in custody with pressed charges for illegal possession of firearms, as well as carrying them in public.
