Chulalongkorn University erects Digital Arts Hub

The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at the Chulalongkorn University has unveiled a new center for digital arts, the FAAMAI Digital Arts Hub. The Hub includes the FAAMAI Dome, a planetary-style interactive dome, or movie theatre, in the middle of Chulalongkorn Centenary Park.

The Dome is designed for exhibitions and events that give the audience a 360-degree viewing experience. Guests can expect digital projections of renowned artwork, as well as showings of lesser-known international award winning films. For artists, the Digital Arts Hub offers the FAAMAI Studio, with sensors, hi-resolution projectors, sound editing tools, and software we non-digital artists have never even heard of.

The Hub was created under the patronage of the Chulalongkorn University Second Century Fund (C2F). The goal of the Digital Arts Hub is to foster a generation of artists that can integrate traditional art with digital technology, thereby bolstering creativity in Thailand.
