Head to Pattaya City to enjoy the international fireworks festival
Just few days ahead of the festivities, we’re sure many Pattaya residents including dwellers in Bangkok have been expecting this major annual fireworks festival. According to PPTVHD36, the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2022 will be held from 25th – 26th November at Pattaya Beach from 7PM onwards till 10PM.
Interestingly, the festival will include plenty of street food hawkers lining the sidewalk at the beach, where you can fill your bellies with various Thai cuisines. Furthermore, you can enjoy live music concerts during the shows’ breaks and after the final show until 10.45PM.
Please note that the festival doesn’t have any fees for admission. Anyone can join the festival for free.
3 spots to get the best views of the fireworks
Since the shows will take place in the middle of the ocean, you can definitely find many spots to watch them, but here are our favourite 3 spots in the city so you can get clear views and nice photos of the fireworks.
First, Pattaya Beach is one of the perfect places where you can have the closest look at the fireworks. We usually hang around near Central Pattaya every year when we come to enjoy this festival. However, it’s the most crowded spot as well, in our opinion. So if you don’t like crowds, you might consider other spots.
Close to Pattaya Beach, we have Bali Hai Pier. The pier is an open space where you can enjoy watching the shows without anything blocking your vision. You will see spectacular fireworks lighting up the skies as well as the beautiful coastline of Pattaya Beach.
Lastly, Pratumnak Viewpoint is another option if you wish to have panoramic views of the skyline of Pattaya City. You can either choose to watch it at the top of the hill or come down to the Pattaya City sign which also will give you a commanding view.
Netizens expressed excitement for this upcoming festival

One woman tagged her boyfriend and asked him to take her to see the fireworks.

Translation: I wanna go take photos.
Another Facebook user said to her friend that she wanted to go take pics of the fireworks in the festival.

Finally, one netizen told her friend that this fireworks festival was a must-visit event.
Getting to the Pattaya Fireworks Festival
The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2022 will happen in just a few days, so if this event piques your interest, we recommend looking for a hotel room to book in advance as they might be full or expensive near the day of the event – in case you don’t live in Pattaya.
A quick piece of advice from this local, however, do plan your route carefully and allow time for heavy traffic if you don’t wanna miss the first show on Friday.
We can guarantee that the festival will give you lots of joy in watching the spectacular fireworks light up the sky. Coming here from Bangkok takes just a 2-hour drive, so we think it’ll def be worth it.
