Facts about Nutty the YouTuber
Recently, a Thai YouTuber named Natthamon Khongchak – aka Nutty – who helms the channel ‘Nutty’s Diary’ has gone viral in the region. She allegedly swindled more than ฿2 billion (USD55 million) out of a large number of people and has apparently fled the country.
So, if you’ve seen the headlines but are wondering how she made off with this massive sum, we have gathered 13 facts about Nutty and her beginnings as a socmed star. Keep reading to find out more about who she is beyond the alleged scam.

1. Nutty is a famous YouTuber with more than 800k followers

While some people might already know that she’s a YouTuber, others may be curious about her fame. Well, Nutty has a YouTube channel with more than 800K followers. As she’s passionate about dancing and singing, she usually makes dance or song covers and dancing tutorials.
She apparently began her net idol career on platform named Socialcam, working hard to establish her reputation in singing and dancing. Due to her good looks & sleek dance moves, she gained popularity and fans over time.
2. She also has a trading channel on YouTube

Apart from her main channel, she has another secondary YouTube channel called ‘Trader Nutty‘. From the feed, it seems like she uploads videos to demonstrate her knowledge on trading to her followers.
This is also apparently the channel that may have contributed to the legal troubles she’s facing right now. As of the time of writing, her last video was posted 2 months ago, in June 2022 and the channel no longer seems active.
3. She once debuted in Korea and published two songs

Armed with her dancing and singing skills, Nutty once debuted in South Korea under Dream Cinema and had her first two singles produced, namely ‘So What‘ and ‘I’m Gonna Catch Ya‘.
It’s unclear what happened after the debut, but it seems like she returned to Thailand to expand her influence on social media – growing both a YouTube and Instagram following.
4. She claims she comes from a very wealthy family

Nutty and her mom revealed on a famous show in Thailand that they used to be a wealthy family. According to the mother-daughter duo, they once made ฿2 million/month from her mum’s karaoke business in Chiang Mai. They also said Nutty had 22 babysitters in total since she was born and they owned 14 cars. However, the business allegedly went bankrupt later.
5. Nutty graduated from Rangsit University

When it comes to her educational background, one source says she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from Rangsit University in Thailand. This is a course that we think is pretty applicable to what she ended up specialising in for a career as a content creator.
6. Her family used to live in Malaysia

During her childhood years, Nutty and her mother apparently moved to Malaysia after the karaoke business in Chiang Mai had gone bankrupt, according to Komchadluek. The move meant that she had to attend school in Malaysia, and ended up having to study Malay. She’s now considered fluent in conversational Malay, thanks to this experience.
7. A Malaysian millionaire proposed to her while she was 13

When she was at the age of 13 while living in Malaysia, a Malaysian millionaire apparently fell in love with her and proposed to her. The man apparently gave his word that he wouldn’t do anything sexual to her in pursuit of marriage. However, he allegedly broke the promise and tried to have sex with her.
Nutty shared that she begged for him to let her go, and thankfully managed to get away. Later, her mother took her to settle in Pattaya, as reported by Komchadluek.
8. She has her own skincare company named Costina

Despite being young, Nutty owns a skincare company in Pathum Thani where she has her skincare products – Costina – made. She also has a Facebook page which she uses to sell her products.
9. She was a participant on I Can See Your Voice Thailand

Throughout her life, Nutty has appeared on many TV shows, and one of them is I Can See Your Voice Thailand in 2016. As you might have guessed, she was revealed as a good singer, instead of someone who doesn’t have the pipes to carry a tune.
10. She did a dance cover of ‘Money’ by Lisa

As a K-pop fan, Nutty has done many dance cover videos over her career as a YouTuber as mentioned earlier. As we went through her YouTube channel’s feed, we spotted that she also did a cover of Money by BLACKPINK’s Lisa too, which has gained around 200k views so far.
11. Nutty convinced her followers to invest in Forex with her

After she rose to fame as an social media entertainer with dancing and singing content, she started advertising her highly profitable trading strategies that piqued loads of her followers’ interest.
According to news outlets, she reportedly led her followers into investing in Forex – foreign exchange trading – and guaranteed them high returns. Later, many of those who did not receive the promised returns filed complaints against her. We assume this marked the start of trouble with the law for the young starlet.
12. She assured her followers that she wasn’t cheating on IG

In the aftermath of the scam allegations, many netizens questioned her trustworthiness. That’s also when Nutty decided to post a video on IG on 25th May 2022, explaining that she had no intention of cheating anyone.
In the clip, she vowed to pay everyone the amounts that were owed. Fast forward, close to 3 months later, she’s alleged to have left Thailand without fulfilling these obligations as promised.
13. A ฿2 million bounty was placed for info leading to her arrest

Now that she’s reportedly fled abroad; her victims have chipped in and set a ฿2 million bounty on her. The reward will be given to whoever can give clues about her whereabouts or share info that will lead to an arrest, according to PPTVHD36.
Hope that justice will be served in due time
We believe the amount of money she’s allegedly absconded with is definitely a game-changing amount, and we feel sorry for all those affected. Though she does seem like a talented individual, it also seems like she’s broken the trust that her followers have placed in her.
But until she gets to share her side of the story, we hope that the truth – and justice as well – will prevail.
