Kitty Goes Missing From Home For 3 Days, Comes Back With ‘Mackerel Debt’ For Owner To Pay

Missing cat in Thailand returns with receipt

Compared to dogs, cats are more independent and don’t even wait for us to come back home to explore the world. However, cat lovers are still willing to be slaves to the kitties, devoting all their time and patience to taking care of them.

One owner in Thailand recently had to deal with a lost cat, who returned with a mischievous and hilarious surprise. Naughty!

Was the cat just coming back for money?

A Facebook page posted pictures of a chubby cat with a caption that said “Disappeared from home for 3 days and returned with a debt. #catslaves”.

It’s good to hear that the owner finally found the cat, but their fluffy buddy came back with a surprise.

The cat came home with a new collar around its neck that carried a message from a nearby mackerel shop owner.

Translation: “Your cat kept staring at the mackerels at my store, so I gave him three mackerels. Aunty May at an alley no. 2”

The tag also listed the phone number of Aunty May who helped take care of the cat for the owner to contact. So, aside from spending time finding him, the owner now also has to pay for the mackerels too.

Thai cat lovers found it hilarious

Fellow #catslaves left comments under the post saying that the cat was super cute- someone even offers to pay for the mackerels!

Translation: Mommy, pay it for me please. The mackerels were so delicious. I will visit the shop again!

Translation: Both the aunty and the cat are so cute!

Translation: So cute! Come here. I will pay for the mackerels.

We’re not sure if Aunty May might have actually wanted the owner to pay for the mackerels, or if  she gave out her contact for the owner to let her know this chubby kitty was safe.

Great job, cat! He knows how to buy mackerel by himself now.
