High-risk patient lies about background

Last week, Nuttaporn Shoomparng, a dentist in Bangkok wrote on her Facebook page about a male patient who covered his risks of possibly having COVID-19 in order to get his tooth fixed.
In her post, she said a man in a taxi driver uniform came to the clinic with a tooth infection. Upon his arrival, she examined the man and asked him if he was at risk of COVID-19 in any way, which he denied.
Seeing him in his taxi driver uniform, the dentist also asked him if he had recently been to any high-risk areas. Again, he said ‘no.’
The man tested positive

However, after the session finished, the man confessed to the dentist that he had been to a boxing tournament at Lumpinee Stadium on 6th March – this location is believed to be linked to a high surge COVID-19 cases in Bangkok after infected patients were present at the venue.
He also said that all of his friends were detained and quarantined except him. Moreover, he still continued to drive his taxi after that.
The dentist then contacted the hospital staff and had him tested for the virus – the result came out positive. Thus, all the staff in the clinic that day, including the dentist, are now in a 14-day self-isolation.
Netizens are sympathetic towards dentist
Her post has since gained over 2,000 shares with over 500 comments. Many of the commenters expressed their sympathy while some others were furious with the patient.

Translation: Charges should be made against the person in cases like this because he risked many lives and businesses.
Translation: What’s more dangerous than COVID-19 is a liar.
Note that concealing information about COVID-19 infection can result in a fine of up to ฿20,000.
If you’ve been to high-risk places, don’t lie about it and isolate yourself ASAP. Otherwise, you’ll be putting other people at risk.
