After the government closed all crowd-attracting venues around Bangkok including malls and dine-in restaurants, the Central Malls group has come up with a safe way for Bangkokians to order and pick-up food by adapting necessary social distancing measures.

Instead of letting delivery staff and customers cram up the restaurant while waiting for their takeaways, Central decided to gather all the representatives from each restaurant in a spacious hall.
From here, each restaurant can take orders from customers. After the food is ready, it would be picked up from this same table.

The Central group also provides a safe waiting zone, where chairs are placed at least 1 metre away from each other, so that customers can wait for their food with ease.

7 measures for everyone’s safety
Along with the safe waiting zones and the new ordering method, Central also launched 7 measures to keep everybody safe.
- Everyone must take the social distancing measure seriously and always keep to the safety distance.
- Disinfect mall areas with cleaning solution daily.
- Screen all staff members in the malls by checking their temperature and having them wear masks.
- Check all customers and delivery persons’ temperature who come in and out of the premises.
- Everyone inside the building is asked to wear masks.
- Provide hand sanitiser for all.
- Everyone is asked not to talk to one another if not necessary.
Bravo, Central group! Thank you for being responsible for society and caring about people’s well-being.
