International flights in-and-out of Thailand have been banned since April this year as COVID-19 spread across the world. Now that the situation of the pandemic seems to be getting better, the Aviation Chief of Thailand said that international flights could resume by September 2020.

We need to see the situation

Chula Sukmanop, Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand Director, announced on 17th June 2020 that international flights could possibly resume as soon as September, but airlines in Thailand have to keep eyes on the situation by the end of this month.

However, this doesn’t mean that air travel will be available for everyone since the international flights have been planned to first resume for business travellers to under the Travel Bubbles proposals.

It is still a good win that people could possibly travel abroad for work this September. However, we need to stay tuned for updates on the situation. We hope the COVID-19 situation will be stable enough for these plans to go smoothly.
