Efterträda is the first clothing line from IKEA
Have you ever seen bags, shirts, or any fashion items with an IKEA logo? Those items are really popular at shopping spots like Chatuchak Market, but they’re not the official products created from the super-brand itself.
The time has finally come where the Swedish furniture store has jumped into the fashion world, starting at Japan’s IKEA Harajuku.

Internationally available from 7 August onwards
IKEA’s first ever apparel line is called the Efterträda Collection, which is Swedish for ‘successor’. The company also shared, “Could our clothing and accessories line succeed our home furnishing solutions?”
This collection is a collaboration between IKEA Japan and the headquarters in Sweden, taking inspiration from seeing people in Tokyo wearing unofficial IKEA merch.
So, the Harajuku branch is now the first branch selling the collection from now to 6th August. Then, all items will be available internationally on 7th August online.
