If you’ve been to Bangkok, chances are you’ve also been to the city’s landmarks like Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew. Both places are so famous, even those who haven’t been there must’ve at least seen them on postcards or the internet.

Sadly, the palace complex will be closing its doors from 22nd March to 15th April 2020 in order to contain COVID-19 and minimise risks of it spreading, confirmed the Thai Royal Office.

Both locations attract both local and international crowds daily, so they’re deemed as high-risk places to be at during this time.

Don’t fret! Once everything returns to normal, we can visit these beautiful sites anytime we like. For now, let’s avoid crowded areas and be responsible.
