With natural environments being replaced with “forests” of concrete, this mommy crab in Thailand found herself lost on the streets until this Grab hero brought her to safety.

This heart-warming case took place on 24 October 2019, when Grab delivery driver Yanapon Chaiwootti posted the cheerful story of him and the crab on his Facebook account. He shared how he found the little crab walking on the road in the distance and later found out that he was a Poo Kai, or Hairy Leg Mountain Crab, who was a mother carrying her babies in her shell.

Mr. Yanapon decided to swiftly put her in his food delivery bag and bring her to the nearest forest so that she’d be safe with her babies.

At the end of the day, the mommy crab hurt his finger as his “reward” and transportation fee; but Mr. Yanapon didn’t fight back as he thought that she must have been tired and scared. He also promised his followers that he’d wash the delivery bag before working the next day.
