If you don’t have a fear of geckos and happen to be on the hunt for a car, boy do we have some news for you. This car dealer in Thailand has one heck of a promo, where customers can score a ฿20,000 discount on their new cars in exchange for live geckos.
Hunting for your dream car with a special price
In early June, the owner of a car showroom in Udonthani posted a special promotion on Facebook which read, “A gecko can be claimed as a discount of up to ฿20,000 on a down payment.” What?
Many netizens thought that the post was just a joke or a way to promote themselves on Facebook. However, they later clarified themselves in another post to prove that this was a real offer.
Translation: It doesn’t matter what size it is. You can get a real discount of up to ฿20,000 for sure.
In the post, there were pictures of customers who had really brought in geckos in exchange for a discount, further confirming that this was not a joke.

Some concerned netizens asked the dealers what the purpose of this offer was, and what they were planning on doing with the geckos. The owner then informed them that they weren’t going to do anything to the little critters and just release them back into nature.
If you are strong enough to deal with a live gecko, don’t hesitate to bring it in for a discount on your new car.

Personally, I think it’s better to leave them alone. So scary!
