The Full Moon Party is arguably the wildest beach party in Thailand. Each month, around 10,000 travellers arrive on Koh Phangan, Surat Thani to celebrate this raving event, especially popular on the beaches and islands of Southern Thailand.
Last week, local administration on Koh Phangan cancelled the Full Moon Party due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They said the party will be called off from March 2020 until further notice.

Besides the Full Moon Party, Koh Phangan is also home to many other awesome parties such as its Half Moon, Waterfall, Jungle, and Black Moon parties.
Although these events have yet announced any cancellations, local officials say that it is likely.

At this point, many Thai events are being called off because of the outbreak because large crowds can lead to the COVID-19 virus spreading easily.
Songkran festivities across Thailand from Patong to Bangkok are getting cancelled for the same reason as well. So for your own safety, postponing your party trips to Thailand would be a great idea.
