As a response to the eased lockdown, Seacon Square shopping mall in Bangkok came up with some changes and health measures to ensure its customers’ safety.

One of the changes included altering lift control panels, which allow customers to use only their foot to control the machine.

Unlike traditional lifts, customers can select the floor and open or close the door by stepping on the pedals without having to push any buttons with their hands.

The mall expects to install the new control panels to all of its lifts, at both Srinakarin and Bangkae branches, in 7 to 10 days.

This innovative measure could drastically reduce the risk of catching COVID-19.
