FDA approved vaccines in Thailand
Vaccines authorised for use by Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) include those distributed by Johnson & Johnson, Sinovac and AstraZeneca, shared Thai Enquirer.
Currently, a majority of Thailand’s vaccinated population – many who have only received the first dose – have been jabbed with the Sinovac or Astrazeneca shot. Under Thailand’s current vaccination program, only 7,121 out 10 million people in Bangkok have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine reported The Thaiger.
Thai private hospitals to supply vaccine
Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-O-Cha has allowed private hospitals to import Covid-19 vaccine doses amidst the rise of infected persons in Thailand.
According to Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, the spokesperson for the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration spokesman (CCSA), vaccines are in high demand. Their goal is to obtain 70 million doses by the end of 2021, reported Thai Enquirer.
