10 COVID-19 Cases Reported In State Quarantine From 5 Countries

New COVID-19 cases in Thailand


The total number of COVID-19 cases in Thailand now stand at 3,490, after 10 new cases of the virus were reported from quarantined arrivals. They were made up of 2 foreigners and 8 Thais from 5 countries, The Nation reports.

Countries include Yemen, Myanmar, Indonesia, Ethiopia, and India.

The latest patients are as follows:

  • 1-year-old Thai girl and 27-year-old Thai lady who returned from India on August 31st. Both tested positive on Monday.
  • Two Thai men from Indonesia, aged 47 and 37, who were quarantined in Bangkok.
  • Four Thai students from Yemen who arrived last Friday and were quarantined in Bangkok.
  • A 19-year-old Ethiopian air stewardess who arrived from Addis Ababa on Friday, who tested positive on Monday. She is currently in quarantine in a Samut Prakan facility.
  • A Myanmar woman, aged 42, who arrived in Bangkok on 9th September. She tested positive on Sunday.

Bangkok Post reports that 95% of Thailand’s total COVID-19 patients have since recovered, with 116 current in hospitals. The death toll has remained at 58 since 2nd June.

Thailand also ranks 128th for most cases in the world, with USA taking the number 1 spot with 6.7 million cases.
