Passengers Required To Wear Face Masks To Enter All Bangkok Rail Services From 25 March Onwards

The number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand is getting higher, leading to more serious preventive measures being activated to help control the infection rates in the country.

On 24th March 2020, Director General of the Department of Rail Transport, Sorapong Paitoonphong, announced that all passengers who use rail services are required to wear a face mask. 

The rail services include BTS, MRT, Airport Rail Link, and also SRT commuter trains. However, for passengers who have no mask, they are required to purchase a face mask at stations, with prices starting from ฿35.

Passengers are required to have their temperatures checked

Passengers are required to have their body temperature measured before entering the system as well. If their temperature exceeds 37.5C, the passengers will not be allowed to get to the platforms. 

Plus, passengers need to leave sufficient space between each other while on the platforms and trains.
