In order to keep everyone safe, safety measures have been put in place for users to follow. This includes wearing a mask before entering the park, keeping a safe distance of 1-2 meters while walking, and keeping a safe distance of at least 5 meters from others while jogging.

Mrs. Sinsuay Raweesaengsun, Permanent Secretary for Bangkok shared that among all the businesses allowed to be reopened, parks were the only places people were seen not cooperating with the officers and breaking safety rules. She revealed that more than 80% of park users were not complying with the measures.Â
Additionally, some were spotted gathering in huge groups and eating, while others were using exercise equipment in restricted areas.Â
People who were not following the rules and practising risky behaviours were forced out of the park by officers on duty.

Mrs. Sinsuay warned that if more cases of users breaking safety measures are seen, the city may have to consider closing down all parks again.Â
She stated that this is to prevent another outbreak of the virus as having the situation under control and treating the patients are extremely difficult.
Do not take the situation lightly
Although many restrictions are gradually being lifted and our daily lives are getting back to normal, everyone should not take the situation lightly. Follow all the safety guidelines and let’s keep everyone safe.
