We might be familiar with photos of tables with partitions in street food stores. Even if their function helps prevent the spread of the virus, they don’t really show the full extent of things as compared to how nightclubs in Bangkok have adapted to the pandemic.

Guru Magazine shared photos of Sherbet Club Bangkok, a well-known downtown entertainment venue in Sukhumvit, after it reopened as Thailand entered phase 5

Now that we still need to abide by preventive measures, which include setting up partitions and avoiding crowds, here’s what you can expect to see on your next Friday night out.

All staff must wear safety gear like face mask and shields.

Partitions are all set up in style. Plus, as they are transparent, they also make the place look more vibrant when hit by laser beams, making them light up and glow – looking extra swanky in the dark.

As always, you can enjoy energetic beats when drinking, while the DJ works on their playlists in a glass-room-like booth. Note that you are currently not allowed to roam around and dance due to safety measures put in place.

The staff will also clean up the place to make sure the venue is sanitised before the bar opens daily.

Now, bars and nightclubs are allowed to open till midnight, and party-goers are advised to go home after and not spend more time outside. Have fun responsibly!
