Audrey Cafe & Bistro Bangkok Has New Salted Egg Dishes, From Mains To Desserts

Salted egg-inspired dishes at Audrey’s

Who would have thought that a French bistro would get inspiration from salted eggs? But hey, we’re not complaining.

Audrey Cafe & Bistro has jumped on the salted egg bandwagon by adding 4 dishes to the menu. These special Western dishes will stay on the menu only until 30th September 2019, and here’s what you can get till then:

Squid and Salted Egg Custard Baby Pizza (฿220)

This small, crispy pizza comes topped with squid and salted egg and is perfect for people with smaller appetites. The pizza is thin-crust, which is great for those who are not a fan of thicker, dough-y pizzas. For the toppings, you will find tender, bite-sized pieces of squid, glazed with baked salted egg sauce.

Spaghetti with Spicy Crispy Gourami Fish with Salted Egg Sauce (฿220)

Have some fun pouring salted egg sauce all over your pasta – you can even take a mouthwatering Insta-worthy shot in the process. Other than a perfect #foodporn picture, you’ll have full control on the intensity of the flavours according to your preference.

The dish comes with fried Gourami fish which adds a nice crispy texture to every bite, and a strong flavour of dried chili. Keep in mind that the dish could be quite spicy, so make sure you can handle it.

Seafood Souffle Served with Salted Egg Sauce (฿340)

This dish is arguably the most intriguing of all. This souffle is filled with seafood including clams, squid, and prawn – instead of the usual sweeter varieties we are used to.

Like the spaghetti dish, you get to pour the salted egg sauce all over after cracking the fluffy top open, mixing the flavourful sauce with the seafood. If you love being adventurous with your food, don’t pass this up.

Salted Egg Custard Crepe Cake (฿135)

End your food journey on a sweet note with a crepe cake bathed in salted egg custard. Every mouthful has a sweet and salty taste with two different textures – of the soft layered crepe cake and crunchy cookie crumble.
