Sale of alcohol banned in Bangkok till 30th April 2020

Pro drinkers might need to skip their alcohol-detox for another 10 days as Bangkok announced an extension of its alcohol ban till the end of the month.
Alcohol sale has been prohibited in Bangkok since 10th April 2020 to prevent the spread of the virus during the festive Songkran season, which was supposed to be held on 13th April 2020.
On 20th April 2020, a spokesman of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), Pongsakorn Kwanmuang announced that the alcohol ban will be extended until 30th April 2020 as Bangkok is still a hotspot for COVID-19 infections. The number of cases in Thailand on 21st April 2020 totals to 2,811.
