Airbnb has announced on its website that they will be offering free and subsidised accommodation for 100,000 healthcare professionals who are currently working around the clock to battle COVID-19.

This program aims to provide convenient places for health workers to stay close to their patients while keeping a safe distance from their own families at home.

The platform will be working with the Red Cross, the International Rescue Committee, and the International Medical Corps to find the areas that need this program the most.

Before this, Airbnb had been working on a similar program in France and Italy with 6,000 around hosts in both countries. As of now, the platform hasn’t confirmed whether this campaign is worldwide or not.

You too can take part in this campaign

Airbnb allows you to take part in this great cause by providing safe and convenient property through the platform.

You have a choice to offer it for free, but it’s ok if you can’t. Airbnb will cut all the fees as a way to reduce the cost for the health workers.

The program also has a cleaning protocol for you and your guests to follow during this sensitive time.

Additionally, you can also donate to help provide stays for COVID-19 responders if you’re not ready to host.

Bravo, Airbnb for looking for health workers while they’re working tirelessly to help all of us get through this pandemic.
