Domestic travel with preventive measures

Domestic flights in Thailand have been banned for a while due to COVID-19. As the overall situation in the country is now improving, AirAsia Thailand has made its move to resume its domestic flights.
To promote tourism in the country, AirAsia Thailand’s CEO made an announcement on 26th June 2020 that the airline has been gradually getting itself ready since May to resume operations for domestic flights by this July.
The routes that will be resumed include tourist destinations such as Chiang Mai to Hat Yai, Chiang Mai to Pattaya, and Hat Yai to Pattaya. There will be a total of 25 routes with over 68 round-trip flights daily.

Still, AirAsia will follow necessary precautions to make sure their passengers are safe. These preventive measures include special air filters, hygiene screening, and more.
The mentioned measures are implemented at 6 Thailand airports including Don Mueang, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Chiang Rai, and Suvarnabhumi.
However, the official date when all domestic flights will resume has yet announced, so stay tuned for updates.
