Additionally, you can pick up boxes of frozen Shibuya Honey Toast at any of the 38 After You branches in Thailand. With dine-in being a thing again, you could enjoy a freshly-made one at the cafe, and bring home a couple frozen boxes for later. Not saying you should, but it’s an option.
The best part of frozen meals is that they’re easy to prepare – let’s see how you can replicate the world-renowned dessert at home.
Making frozen Shibuya Honey Toast at home
The frozen Shibuya Honey Toast package comes with baby-sized toast and the cafe’s signature honey syrup. For those who prefer their desserts a-la-mode, you’d have to get your own ice cream for this meal.
The cooking instructions are pretty straightforward, and you can make the dessert in either an air fryer or an oven.
All you need to do is:
- Turn on your oven or air fryer to 180°C
- Toast the bread for five minutes, or until cooked as desired
- Add toppings like strawberries, chocolate syrup, bananas, or whatever your heart desires
- Add ice cream on top of the toast
- After You suggests using vanilla ice cream, but it’s really up to you
- Drizzle honey syrup over the toast
On Saturday 11th September 2021, the dessert cafe also uploaded a demonstration video.
Enjoying our favourite dishes at home
For the past couple months, eating at a restaurant was not an option. So many of us have almost forgotten the taste of freshly prepared food that has travelled less than 10 metres from the kitchen to our table – we’ve gotten used to those that have journeyed kilometres from the restaurant to our front door.
Thankfully, however, restaurants have also adapted and created ways for us to enjoy our favourite dishes at home. And with that, we’re looking forward to ordering unorthodox amounts of Shibuya Honey Toast.
What’s your favoutire After You dessert?
